Lake McConaughey is located 8 miles northeast of Ogallala, Nebraska. Lake McConaughey, nicknamed "Big Mac", is the largest reservoir in Nebraska with over 100 miles of shoreline.
Lake Maloney is fun and convenient from I-80. Located only 6 miles south of North Platte on Highway 83.
Red Willow Dam. Located only 11 north of McCook on Highway 83.
Dismal River. The Dismal River is a true Sandhills river, having its beginning and ending in the grass-cloaked hills that cover some 20,000 square miles in central Nebraska .
Niobrara River. This 76-mile reach of the Niobrara River in northcentral Nebraska was added to the nation's Wild and Scenic River System in 1991. The river is swift and shallow over much of its length, cutting through bedrock forming riffles, rapids and waterfalls.

Fort McPherson Military Cemetery
Hundreds of soldiers and pioneers died on the Nebraska frontier. Some
were killed by Indians, some were drowned, some were frozen to death
in great storms, some died of disease. Some of these were buried where
they died. Many were buried in the cemeteries belonging to the Fort
McPherson Fort, located six miles from Maxwell.
Buffalo Bill’s Scout’s Rest Ranch
Scout’s Rest Ranch is located in North Platte, Nebraska and became
a state historical park in 1965. Since that time, the house and barn
have been restored and a wealth of Cody memorabilia has been acquired.

Bailey Yard
Union Pacific Railroad's Bailey Yard in North Platte, Nebraska, is the
largest railroad classification yard in the world. It was named in honor
of former Union Pacific President Edd H. Bailey. If the University of
Nebraska Cornhuskers were to play here, they'd have enough room for
2,800 football fields.
